We are a wife and husband team with backgrounds in fine art screen printing and over 20 years experience in the quilting industry. With this background we are able to work with our quilting and craftbased customers to best produce their designs.
Our studio is located in Western Pennsylvania.
What Is Washout Printing?
Water-soluble printing has been around for many years. It is most commonly used in quilting to pre-mark a quilt top with a design. The quilter stitches over the lines, and then soaks the piece when they are finished to remove all the blue or white lines.
This type of printing has many uses however, and is now widely used as grids to teach freemotion and long-arm quilting, for patterns to cut directly out of fabric, embroidery, and much more!
